January 2018: Dr. Jessen teaching quantitative research methods for public policy at the University of Southern Maine's Muskie School of Public Service.
October 2017: NEW PROJECT
Project begins for the School Library Journal, using ArcGIS to examine changes in school libraries and librarian staffing around the country.

JANUARY 2017: PUBLIC PRESENTATION
Dr. Jessen presents expert testimony on the research related to school facilities and education at the Ad Hoc School Bond Committee Meeting.
AUGUST 2016: Dr. Jessen presents survey findings to principals at Portland Public Schools meeting.
SEPTEMBER 2015: Dr. Jessen has been invited to be a Visiting Assistant Professor of Education at Bowdoin College for 2015-2016. She will be teaching classes on educational policy, primarily. The White Barn Center will continue managing several projects during this time.

MAY 2014: WHITE BARN CENTER FOR RESEARCH BEGINS WORK WITH SOUTHERN MAINE COMMUNITY COLLEGE (SMCC) TO LOOK AT PERSISTENCE AND GRADUATION AMONG STUDENTS (SEE "PROJECTS" FOR DETAILS).
MAY 8, 2014: SARAH BUTLER JESSEN TO PRESENT FINDINGS FROM MANY RIVES PROGRAM AUDIT TO SCHOOL BOARD OF PORTLAND PUBLIC SCHOOLS ON MAY 13th.
At the Portland Public Schools School Board meeting on Tuesday, May 13th, Dr. Jessen will present the findings from the program evaluation of the Many Rivers program, a small "alternative" program of choice in the district of Portland.
APRIL 3, 2014: THE WHITE BARN CENTER FOR RESEARCH LAUNCHES
The White Barn Center for Research opened today. The White Barn Center conducts research for educational, social, and community organizations in Maine and around the country. With specialization in qualitative and quantitative data analysis and evaluation, the White Barn Center hopes to contribute to the greater educational and societal landscapes by helping organizations and institutions that serve their communities.
